Dr. Terry Mortenson

Like most people, Dr. Mortenson grew up in an educational system that taught evolution as fact. During his first year at the University of Minnesota and shortly after becoming a Christian, he began to see that the idea of billions of years of evolution is false.

Dr. Mortenson has a B.A. in math, a Masters of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago and a Ph.D. in the history of geology from the University of Coventry in England.

Before joining Answers in Genesis in 2001 as a speaker, writer and researcher, he served with Campus Crusade for Christ for 26 years (mostly in Eastern Europe).  He has spoken on creation and evolution for over 25 years in 17 countries in homes, schools, colleges, universities and seminaries and has had seven formal debates with evolutionist university professors. Dr. Mortenson is the author of numerous articles on this subject and The Great Turning Point: the Church’s Catastrophic Mistake on Geology-before Darwin (Master Books, 2004).

Dr. Mortenson and his wife, Margie, have eight children.
